Fractional CPO Basics

  • A fractional Chief People Officer provides executive-level HR leadership part-time, typically 1-3 days per week. You get strategic people planning, leadership development, and AI-augmented delivery at a fraction of the cost of a $250K+ full-time CHRO.

  • You get 25+ years of experience immediately at 50-70% lower cost ($60K-$120K/year vs. $250K+), with no benefits or equity. You pay only for the strategic capacity you need, with flexibility to scale up or down, and we can start in weeks instead of months.

  • Consultants deliver projects and hand you a report. We partner with you ongoing as part of your leadership team, there for strategy AND execution. We're accountable for results, not just recommendations.

Leadership Development

  • A half-day working session where your team tackles a real challenge while we diagnose what's limiting their capacity. You get progress on the challenge, clarity on patterns holding you back, and a roadmap for building next-level capacity. Investment: $3,500.

  •  6-12 month immersive journeys where your team tackles high-stakes business challenges while building capacity to navigate complexity. By the end, you've solved the challenge and built a self-sustaining learning community that keeps growing. Investment: $35K-$95K.

  •  It depends on the service. The Leadership Capacity Diagnostic is a half-day. Fractional CPO partnerships typically run 12-24 months. Leadership Growth Labs span 6-12 months. Executive Partnering can be ongoing monthly or custom engagements.

Pricing & Investment

  • $5,500-$16,500/month depending on time commitment (1-3 days per week) and scope. That's $66K-$198K annually, 50-70% less than a full-time CHRO with no benefits or equity costs.

  • Monthly retainers for fractional CPO work based on days per week. Project-based pricing for leadership development engagements. Custom pricing for major initiatives like M&A integration or culture transformation.

  • Strategic people planning, executive team partnership, leadership team meeting participation, talent strategy and systems building, leadership coaching, board-level reporting, and mentoring your internal HR team. You get strategic leadership and execution support.

  • Leadership Capacity Diagnostic: $3,500. Executive Partnering: $3,500/month. Board and team retreats: $15K-$40K. Adaptive Leadership Growth Labs: $35K-$95K. All pricing is customized to scope and duration.

  • Fractional CPO services are billed monthly. For larger leadership development engagements, we can structure payments across project milestones. We're flexible and work with you to find an arrangement that fits your budget cycle.
